Malia had allergy & asthma testing today. Most of you reading this are family and probably thinking "well duhhh" since Allergies run pretty strong on both sides.
Poor Malia is allergic to everything though. Thankfully none of the foods, but most everything else she tested positive for. The biggest reaction was cats. Which (again)most of you already knew... but Malia is really disappointed. I think she had always hoped we were wrong about cats being the cause of some of her reactions.
She's also been given a preventative treatment for the asthma, as her lungs were pretty weak before the breathing treatment. She doesn't wheeze, but she gets to coughing when hers is flaring up. Just like Mama.
I asked her if she wanted to take a picture of her back to show her "war wounds" and I think she'd rather just forget about it. She was very upset by it... I think she is just glad to be done with it.
On a positive note, we finally found someone who willing to work with the girls and teach them hula! She's an adult instructor and doesn't have any formal "children's classes". We're waiting to find out the costs involved, so cross your fingers that they are affordable. Maybe next we'll look up scottish dancing or bag pipes... that would be fun as well!
