Long trip, but good time. I'll post pictures soon. I think if Dathan wasn't convinced before, he certainly gets how valuable my iphone is now after a trip with it :) We had access to everything we needed along the way. GPS, directions, finding out what restaurants were around us (or around the hotel we booked) Picking out hotels, or priceline to get a good deal on one. Weather, road conditions, anything you want. I love this phone.
We took our sweet time on our way home, stretched it out into 3 days of driving and 2 hotel stays. It gave us time to take our time each night (and morning) at the hotel and let the kids swim and have more fun on the trip. Glad we did that, the girls were bummed that they didn't get much of a chance to swim since it was January in Florida too. They have asked me to promise to only take them in the warm weather in the future. lol.
It worked out good this way though, our final day of driving was all of 3 hours- and the snow/ice had melted on the roadways by Sunday. The storm had hit hard though, it was like car (and truck) confetti along the side of the highways. Quite a few overturned semi-trucks, and even more passenger vehicles sprinkled along the ditches and medians from Memphis on. There were some stretches where we were driving 30 on the highway Saturday, as the roads still had a lot of ice then.
Off to start Monday school work and TRY to get my house in shape- and get all our things unpacked. Pictures up within a week hopefully :)

Welcome Home, Aly!
I missed you in blog-land and wondered how your road trip adventure was unfolding.
Can't wait to see photos. Glad you stretched it out on the way home. Road trips are by far the most vivid memories of my childhood.
Amir and I were on the way home from a weekend in Toronto last night and I was telling him as much, because he looked over and told me he can't wait til the baby is in the car with us. Well, I guess technically the baby was in the car, but I think he meant out of the belly!
Hooray for Iphones :)
