As you can see they can't wait to break in to that package :) I actually hadn't told them to go ahead yet and yet I'm quite certain they were going ahead ;o)

The package was so wonderfully wrapped that it became a game of tug of war.

Obviously a VERY fun game of tug of war

Making progress (we did water colors today, can you tell on Sasha's fingers?)

We've got entry

Investigating

And absolutely thrilled!

Stay tuned for pictures to come of us preparing and cooking our new delicious gingerbread friend. He shall be named and become a new tradition. Nothing like a giant gingerbread man to enjoy Winter with. "Run, run, as fast as you can. You can't catch me I'm a gingerbread man!"

what a fun post. Also, what beautiful girls you have, inside and OUT!
I'm glad the opening was as fun as the gift! I wrapped it in several small grocery bags so it required a lot of tape.
That's a really cool gift!
I think it is pretty cool- I just love that the pan is reusable so we can make this gingerbread man every year. They love the story of the gingerbread man so much- so this gift is just perfect for them.
They love all those classics, little red riding hood, three little pigs, goldilocks, stone soup, little red hen... I need to get them their own book of such tales because we're always getting them from the library.
