Backpacks

The girls new backpacks for the new school year :)

Owl is Eliana's, Leopard print is Sasha's (she is madly into animals right now) and the letter "M" is Malia's.

Malia Dunes

love to do the dune rides every year, maybe I'll have more pictures soon. But I grabbed these and thought they were cute. Malia is getting so grown.

Mermaids

Discovered them at the beach. My brother took better pictures, all of mine are cell phone pictures- so I might replace them later :)

Cherry Picking

We picked 11 pounds of cherries and 15 pounds of blueberries. We didn't quite finish off the cherries, but the blueberries were gone the next day. Wish we'd gotten more before we left!

Eliana & Mary Jane

Eliana and her BFF at Mary Jane's birthday party on our way out of town earlier this month :D

You know, I always think Eliana is SOOO blonde until I see her next to an actual blonde. haha.

Sasha Swimming

Sasha has always been an adventurous water baby, but has managed to get by without purposefully swimming. In another hotel in St Louis she discovered how to make herself go :)

She was swimming back and forth so much that I asked her to stop and take a few breaths in between laps. In the first video you can see her counting her breaths before taking off again.

She didn't really swim much in the 2nd one, but I thought she was funny so I'm posting it anyway. :)

Hotel Sleepover

My dear friend had a beautiful little boy and we went to DFW area to meet him. Big sister went back with us to the hotel for a sleepover and we had so much fun! It was so sad to say goodbye, must get back soon!

Saying Goodbye

Had a nice burial for Goldie & Brownie the mice. Just me and Sasha and the old birch tree in the backyard. Got to have a wonderful conversation about life and death.

If you look, you can see the grave stone of Malia's fish, Poseidon, up near the tree.

The new female mice (who promise to be less stinky than those sweet boys) are thriving in their place. Sasha named her new pets Laura & Mary Poppins.

School Visit

The younger two girls got to visit their new school on Friday!

The principle went above and beyond in giving us a tour, even took the girls into classrooms to meet the teachers and peers as well. Sasha walked into each room like she owned the place, while Eliana was a bit more held-back. Meeting the sweet third grade teachers won her over though, and she seemed to feel really comfortable with them all.

Here are a few pictures of the very cute castle library. There are also gorgeous paintings all over the walls, but I didn't get a picture of everything. It's a basic school, but you can tell they have put a lot of work into decorating it to be a fun and inspiring place to learn.

The girls thought these little circle nooks were PERFECT for reading time <3

These girls are SO excited to start, and there mama is pretty thrilled for them too <3

Lego Quest

We do the challenges on the Lego Quest blog, but rarely go through the work of taking pictures and submitting them. Love the challenges though, and since it is the last challenge until September, we decided to submit pictures this month.

Sasha made an Ice Garden for an Ice Princess

Eliana made a Fire Garden with a mystic fire flower centerpiece (it was really hard to get one picture that showed everything!)

Malia made a community garden with different plots, and although she didn't go into great detail when I asked her the 2nd time- the first time I thought she had some pretty cool details that I wish I could remember more clearly. The ancient garden has a lot of sacred plants in it, and the super flower garden has a lot of extreme healing plants in it.

Owl Party

We attended this fun owl party in the middle of my semester. I've been so busy that I'm just now getting around to posting about it, but I thought it was too cute not to share. The kids had a BLAST and how creative is this idea?! The girls even made their own owl masks, with me helping on the hot glue.

Recent school day

Malia and her friend get together twice a week, on this particular week malia had picked out what to do while studying china. They decided to make homemade paper lanterns out of paper tissue and wiring, paint, and make tea eggs which came out so pretty!

First Amusement Park Experience

Sasha's best buddy moved away recently, and she couldn't imagine a party without him, so she decided to do something special as a family instead of having a party to celebrate turning 6.

SIX!! My youngest baby is six years old.

It's unreal, I officially don't have any kids in the 5 and under crowd.

I have to say, I am trying so hard to just cherish this stage because it is a really sweet spot.

The girls are so much fun, and they are SO EASY. I didn't have to carry a bag, people. Money, phone and camera in pockets.

Don't pinch me, I don't want to wake up <3

Look at her. Turning double digits this year, she is starting to seem like a pre-teen these days. I hope she knows how much I admire her.

Eliana after she won NOT ONE, but TWO prizes at the balloon pop after we explained to her how low the odds of winning are. It's shocking they want to discover everything for themselves despite what we say, isn't it?

Getting to be the co-pilot on the tram

He's a pretty sweet papa all folded up into the elephant ride

Sasha does not like being sprayed, but she sure liked getting to spray others

Not being impressed with theme-park food

That's Eliana there on the far left... she loved this ride, even though it made her mama pretty worried. It's HARD to let them go on rides that YOU think they aren't quite big enough for... but they knew what they were ready for and what they weren't.

The girls pretty much all amazed me with their fearlessness. Eliana came off one ride crying and immediately went back on just so she knew she could. She came off the next ride smiling. All the girls were really adventurous. Trying far bigger rides than I had anticipated them trying. My girls are BIG!

And just because it needs to be said, Branson is pretty much the tackiest town on earth.
